Security

Last updated: September 9, 2026

Sift Development Incorporated (“Sift,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses administrative, technical, and organizational controls designed to protect the systems and information used by Place Labs.

Data protection

We use encrypted connections for data in transit. Sensitive integration credentials are encrypted before storage, and other stored data is protected by access controls provided by our hosting and storage services.

Access and isolation

Access to customer data requires authentication and authorization. Application data access is scoped by tenant, and integration credentials are bound to the tenant and connection that owns them.

Application and infrastructure security

We require HTTPS or TLS for external service connections, keep production secrets out of source code, and use automated tests and code review for application changes.

Incident response

We investigate and respond to suspected security incidents and provide notifications when required by law or contract.

Compliance

Our SOC 2 readiness work is in progress.

Contact

To report a security concern, email business.outreach@usesift.co. Information about our data practices is available in our Privacy Policy.
